BERNARDINE: I had my surgery in October of 2005, so I'm almost three years postsurgery. I've lost about 120 pounds. It's been I think a real commitment on the part of both this office and myself to see some success happen. I follow-up with support group work, and that's another thing that Dr. Veninga's office is amazingly committed to, is to not just do the surgery and leave. I've heard of other surgeons who I guess I like to describe it as cutting and running. They don't seem to have that much of a commitment to their patients. I truly believe that both Dr. Veninga and his staff have a vested interest in you as a person, not just as a patient, that there's more to it then that, that there's really a family atmosphere, a feeling that we're all in this together and we all want to see you be successful.
