Nathan shares his surgery testimonial following treatment at our Dallas office (North Texas Bariatric & General Surgery, P.A.).

NATHAN: I decided to have the surgery after my wife had the surgery. I came in weighing about 260 pounds, taking blood pressure medication, taking cholesterol medication with a fatty liver disorder that was basically slowly killing me over time and I couldn't seem to lose any of the weight. I had the surgery and within two years I no longer have to take the cholesterol medication, I no longer have to take the blood pressure medication, my liver function has returned to normal so that I can actually drink wine without endangering myself, I no longer snore, I no longer have aches and pains. Pretty much the course that I was headed down because of my weight would have eventually killed me by the time I was in my mid-50s. Because I've been able to lose the 90 pounds that I've lost my life has returned to normal The procedure itself was easier then I expected it to be. Dr. Veninga's office uses a pain management program that's different from other offices that worked very well for me. It allowed me to go back to work immediately, within two days of having the surgery. So that worked very well. The staff over here, I've gotten to know them all, so they've made it easy to get in and out when I need to get in and out and so I've greatly appreciated that as well. But really, the best thing that I can say about Veninga and the way that he handles this type of surgery is the fact that he cuts out a lot of the nonsense, he manages your time and your recovery time and your pain very well. It's just made it a lot more manageable then what I've seen from some other patients with other doctors.
