Steve shares his LAP-BAND® experience following treatment at our Dallas office (North Texas Bariatric & General Surgery, P.A.).

STEVE: What lap band surgery has done for me, man, it's just completely changed my life. I was weighing in at 260, my blood pressure was just out of control, circulation problems was just going crazy, I was borderline diabetic and I was relatively young. I was coming up with the idea that this is something that was life threatening. You don't think about those far reaching circumstances when you're going through it. Food was just my addiction, I just loved food. I just could not stop eating. Lap band definitely gave me, in my own personal experience, control over that. I could just go in there, eat what is necessary, still be comfortable because it caused me to slow down my eating habits and then ultimately when I get to the point where the lap band now takes over and says "that's enough, you're done", then I'm satisfied. So overall, now, I feel just like I've come right out of high school sometimes. I've got more energy, I'm constantly wanting to do something. I'm out in the yard a lot more, I'm working extended hours if it's necessary. Everybody has noticed definitely a change in me and my energy level. If someone were to ask me about it, I would say yes, consider it.
